China Day 26: Final Assignment!+ Mini-Adventures

Given that this was the day before our final assignments were due, both individual and group assignments, not much went on in terms of exciting adventures. Mostly people just remained locked up in their rooms, working on their assignments or....they were just procrastinating.

At the very least, dinner was exciting! A friend and I went to a dimsum place near Nanjing Road (南京東路) based on Kat's (my roommate's) guidebook.
We were walking along a street, looking for the correct building number when my friend was like, "It should be nearby...".
I jokingly replied, "Is it that giant well-lit building over there?"
"It...is."
"Oh...what?!" Hahaha. My life.

But yeah, dimsum at night = very cool! Also very yummy. :) Restaurant pictures ensue. (These are, at last, my own photos.) Did I mention it was a really nice restaurant?

Yeah so, it was a really nice restaurant. :P We ended up ordering shrimp dimsum (蝦餃), which were definitely some of the best I've ever tasted, and Wakefield wanted 差稍包 so we ordered what we thought was it...but it wasn't. Haha. But still good! And they ran out of the noodle dish we wanted so we ordered something else...I forgot what, but it was really good too!!! x) YUM. Food. It came out to less than $5 USD a person. I love China and cheap, yummy food. 

FOOD!! Best 蝦餃 ever, not 差稍包, and I forgot what noodles we got but they were really good. 

We wanted to go karaoke later that night because it was Thursday and weeknights are significantly cheaper than weekends, but because no one was finished with anything, I ended up going with the same friend to get massages downstairs. I was betting on the place not being open because it was 12:30 am at the time. We went up the elevator and...it was open?! China no longer ceases to surprise me.

First time getting a full-body massage! Less awkward than I thought and overall very nice and relaxing. :) Haha. Given the homework, I think it was a pretty good day overall!
