China Day 23: Visiting the Bund again!

Class as usual in the morning! My roommate Kat and I also kind of went a little overboard on the stationary shopping during lunchtime, but it's so cheap! I'm justified! Because of the stationary shopping though, I ended up just grabbing boba for lunch, which was fine because boba in China is great! :)
QQ奶茶: Coconut milk tea with jelly and boba  (I think~)
Stationary spoils by the trip's end. I could've opened a small store.
While I'm posting food pictures, we grabbed dinner at the dumpling restaurant across the street from our motel. I must say, I got just a little tired of soup noodles after the China trip, even though all of it was so good!

紅燒牛肉麵! Beef noodles. :)
Afterwards we went to the Bund to try to take a river cruise, but unfortunately we were too late in getting there and all of the cruises were closed. As an alternative, we decided to head over to the Grand Hyatt and go up to grab an overpriced drink and admire the view. We ended up at this piano bar on the 53rd floor and were debating about paying the minimum charge of 120 RMB, when Naman starts to HAGGLE with the employee. And then the manager-looking person gets involved. And we were all like, "OMG Naman you are going to get us kicked out." And then....he succeeded. o___o As in as long as we bought a drink we didn't have to pay the 120 RMB per person minimum. Naman: "This just proves you can haggle anywhere in China. Even in the Grand Hyatt." Anyway, photos of the super nice piano bar ensue. I just wish I hadn't been wearing a T-shirt and jeans.

TV Tower! :)

Shanghai World Financial Center= Bottle Opener  :D
We had to transfer elevators a few times. Very interesting!
View from the Piano Bar!

Love this picture! You can see the river in the back~
